I pulled the fuel tank by myself. It looked like someone had replaced it and the sending unit recently! I cleaned it and put evaporust gel on the rusted areas. I then painted the top with black semi-gloss Rustoleum paint to protect it from further oxidation.

Friday after school my Papi took me to John’s Salvage to get some parts for my car. We got a battery tray, defroster duct, mini starter, carburetor and A/C-heater controls.

Cool... Getting the young ones involved..

That's very cool to get the boys involved into this great hobby. Just wish there were more that young.....

Glad to see you having fun and glad your here.

We got some testing done on this car on Wednesday as well. The blinkers and emergency flashers work in the front. (Rear doesnt have bulbs atm.) The windshield wiper motor works. The rubber brake hoses are good and look to have been replaced on the recent past. Headlights would not come on but I think the dimmer switch is bad. Next big work day is the Wednesday coming up. (No home work day.)

Today I installed the catch and the hood latching mechanism. We tried to take a picture of it, but our iPad did not have any flash. Plus it started to rain. So we will continue our build tomorrow.

Ok Ian has not updated for a bit. In November early December we did a rering and clean up of the short block. Cylinders were honed and the burned piston replaced with another unit from a parts motor.
We are prepping to try and drive it the the Ziptie drags next week.
Yesterday and today we got the heads prepped, drilled for LA intake bolt pattern. Heads installed, valvetrain installed, valve covers and motor painted. We are waiting on a new dipstick tube, tranny input/output shaft seals. Still need to install oil pump, pickup and pan. After that is set it in and hook up.
