I sold an electric headlight door motor I had listed on here through e-bay. It was sold as a nice clean used unit, working condition unknown. Idiot who buys it now says I lied about the condition of it that it "spins" to freely and would need rebuilt and wants his money back. I accepted the return cause after talking to e-bay rep they said I have no rights even though it was listed as used working condition unknown Buyers have all the rights. She then said he could return it up to 6 months!!! E-bay is a necessary evil but Thank God for these Mopar sites as I prefer them....

WTF happened to ebay ???
Why would they automatically place blame on the vendor? You think they'd do that if they had any competition ?

I too gave up on FLEEbay for the same reasons you have experienced......The seller is the "bit##" to them and the buyer controls everything.....

They can take their fees and exposure to a bunch of frauds and shove it........I would rather give it away here for free....

Frustrating for sure. It was being sold as a clean core to restore as I know how nasty these get.... I will just block him from purchasing any other items I have. Biggest thing I worry about is if he harvested something from it and is now returning it. He had it for 4 days..

From the auction..

They've been in the toilet for quite a while now. My ***umption is they think that they cant afford to be bad mouthed by the buyers, but the sellers have nowhere else to go! Just my guess.

Beat this one:

Sold a guy a used rolling rock shirt, when I went to look for it, couldn't find it. Immediately refunded his money, this is a snippet of that conversation

Too funny. Ebay really sucks. I left that overpriced money grabbing place a long time ago.

LOL Guessing he is angry DRUNK!!
That's what I figured, I was gonna mess with him, but didn't want to get some weird eBay strike, so I held off

My wife said "no big deal" when was looking for it, I'm pretty sure she donated it, but I had a weird feeling it would be a big deal, and it was..

I left for months then went back, left again then went back... It is like a really bad relationship you can't get out of. I have 2 buildings filled with parts I will never need and wanted to get rid of some but mentally it only takes one person to get that attitude of "let someone else deal with it"....

I kind of looked at the fees when selling , and the shipping costs and that global shipping program when wanting to buy. Then I read about the sales tax .that sealed the deal to stay away. If you think your making money. Your really not. With all thats involved to list , wait , pay a listing final value fee. A selling tax. Then you pay to ship. Not really a good place to sell. Or to even buy.

I bought some old hemi rockers from a guy in NY two weeks ago. Was heading past his place so stopped and picked them up. Paid cash. I suppose he'll have to pony up the seller fees but I don't know how they'll handle the tax in this situation and they didn't get to screw us on their cut of the shipping cost either. The thing that pisses me off most though is that they actually DO monitor your communication ... back in August I bought an item that had a a high price BUT included shipping so I messaged the seller and asked what the price would be without shipping since I'd be in the area and would pick up and pay cash. He knocked the price down considerably. The next week I got a nasty letter from Ebay about the transaction. Like I give a **** ! They can kiss my *** and I'll do anything not to have to pay their fees. I realize they're a business and have to make money BUT almost monthly they revise their user agreement and it NEVER favors the seller !!

$250 plus shipping dated 164th day of '72. Only one to reference I found to price was a rusted one, cut wires and was sold as a core sold for $225... That guy was happy with that one though lol..

I am proud to say that i have never bought , or sold, anything ever on ebay or amazon. I may have visited ebay once by accident, and amazon took my money for a gift certificate and then said it was no good. F them all.

I don’t have a lot of stuff but what I have I’ve been giving away rather than sell stuff on eBay. I just don’t want the hassle and don’t like their fee structure. I bought a few things off there when I couldn’t find elsewhere. I do like to buy on Amazon. Never had a problem and their CS is excellent. I would be pissed as hell if I was beepbeep - what a pos the buyer was....

So what happens when you get the item back, and find it was swapped out for a different one that the guy bought from another unsuspecting seller? What will eBag say to that ? You'll probably get stung again....I hope you don't....but it could happen.

Selling here would be much safer.
