MP Solid FT cams and their lash specs

I grew up during the 70s when new cars were getting slower but handling better....That stuck with me.

I have a 3/4" rear bar from an '83 Imperial. It appears to be identical to a Diplomat/Gran Fury bar.

Tighter lash gives an engine more bottom end or torque, while greater lash creates more top end or horsepower, which is typically made in the higher rpm range. However, lashing a valve too tightly can hang open a valve while excessive lash will decrease duration of lift—in essence, making a cam smaller.Feb 28, 2012

Hunh? Thats wrong. And if you look at the comments under the original article, it was posted as being wrong in 2012. Tighter lash makes the cam bigger, less torque low end ,more horsepower top end. It might not be noticeable or significant, but lash does have an effect.

but back at the 62 AHRA Nationals in Cado Mills Texas we had a real greasy track and tightened the lash (and removed the injector stacks) to kill the low end.
Cam seat to seat at .001 was 400 degrees
