Road Trip Gulf Coast to NorCal

That was gushing out where that rubber fuel line goes into the frame. It started when we rocked the car back and forth looking for a noise and stopped when we stopped. It does not leak when the pump is running.

Is the tank full and you are seeing the capillary effect from the vent? Remove the gas cap and see if the leaks stops; that will prove capillary effect.

I hate my job. It interferes with trips like this. It does but the fuel though...
Been too busy/tired to follow FBBO for just a couple of days and fall 10 pages behind?!
Glad you had & are having a grand trip!
View attachment 849294 View attachment 849295 Simple things are hard now. Was down less than 1/2 qt and planning to hammer it today. So I tried to make a small add. Now the oil won’t go in the filler. WTF. Under normal conditions you need a ******* thimble since I agreed to give up my 70 orange valve covers for these pieces of ****. Baffle is close, so I trimmed a special funnel. Car won’t take an add. In the morning I’ll try the other valve cove. The one with the egg rattler. It’s finicky. I hate to touch it.
Is your fuel gauge not working now?
Feel your pain re: adding oil. Takes less time to adjust valves then to change the oil now it seems.
Hope to speak with you soon & plan something for springtime!

Dennis, look at this list of cool sites along I-40/Rt 66. You have to get a photo in Hydro of our car at the old gas station.

You may have nailed it. Vent issue. Again.

I gave Dennis permission to post this photo Linda took of us standing between my El Camino and his Coronet but he's busy dealing with the auto shop. That's Mom's Chrysler 300 on the street and my neighbor's truck in the driveway next door.

2 nuts and 3 Mopars.

Some jobber wanted to pass on a two lane. I was following a pickup. I lowered the window to wave him around. He didn’t know if he could take both of us. Linda says “are you hot? STFU. If I even get off the throttle, she panicks and grabs the roof and dash like death is seconds away. Jesus Chrysler.
I’m behind and just catching up here, but this made me laugh and choke on my morning coffee. I have had similar reactions from my SO while driving the mopar. God bless you Mr. Harris haha:)

These pictures were taken in 1992 when my Dad and Mom delivered the car to me in San Jose from Allentown. January. May replicate the Texas pic if we make it.

I'm lucky in some ways re: the Mrs..
For one, she rarely rides with me in the Roadrunner, because "she has her own 65 GTO" but when she does, well we go back to our teens when driving on the wild side, power slides, doing multiple donuts in whatever car I was driving was a regular event, so she doesn't mind.

Did use your FEELER gauge???
As attractive as Courtney is, and she is, what really impresses me is how genuinely nice she is. She's the opposite of Dennis Gauge of "My Classic Car" in personality, he's a straight up asshole.
