My son has an 05 Mustang was having charging issues after a Battery, Multiple new alternators(kept fluctuating 12.1-14.4), A new internal USA regulator replacing the internal Chinese one, new 3 wire pigtail to the alternator and a new computer it is still having issues... That year they make something 15 computers all were $140 rebuilt and 2 were $540 of course his was that one... Anyway when it came it would not start cause his keys were not matched. So he calls and explains the situation and he has to pay $120 to match the keys at the Ford dealership. The "tech" wipes his brand new my son says no it is all new... Tech says I have to use your old one to redo the new one... Long story short is it is having the same issues now again only after 50-60 miles of driving. Is it possible Bad info was put on to the "new" computer creating this? It is cutting off the throttle at higher Rpm's and now instead of charging at 14.4 it is up at 15.1 and the radio is cutting off and on... He has over $1,000 invested in it and it's back to all the same issues it had before replacing everything....
I tried helping and Took it to two different mechanics and now we are completely stumped...
It is now putting up a code P0662 with all of these problems it would only put up a charging issue code... THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

I have 2003 Mustang that has electrical issues. The electrical windows sometimes work and sometimes don't. The AC only works on high now. and the battery light flashes after a few minutes of running but then goes out. But it keeps running so I use it for a commuter car so I'm running it till it dies. I once had a no start issues but it was a V6 cam sensor and another time battery and cables. I would get rid of it I think they have extensive faulty wiring in them.

Well, a check of wiring seems to be indicated? Going thru the same thing with son’s ‘95 on charging issue. New rebuilt from AutoZone smoked when battery hooked up, trials & tribulations!
