Well - as the title states - anyone have any photos of a medium and/or dark turquoise 1964 Polara ? I am trying to figure out what color to go with but for some reason I am drawing a blank - Polaras all seem to be black, white, or red - and lots of colors just simply don't look right on them... anyone have any colors that are not stock but look amazing on them?

It's close to the stock color, that was on the car.

Mine was black but to be honest i'm not into black cars from a maintenance stand point, has some, don't want any more. They do look good in white with red or all red or a burgundy . I also feel that real dark colors make the headlights look to big .Maybe it's the bright trim work around the headlight in contrast to the black paint,i don't know. Dark turquoise seems to be the only darker shade of paint that works for some reason,it actually looks great on these cars. That being said i'm chasing the right shade of medium /light turquoise . Looking for a shade that has the right mix of green, blue , with just enough metallic to it .A lot of new paints just don't look right on old cars but the older paints are a little "flat". Even the new formulas for the old colors change things. So i'm no help, maybe someone will post some good pictures we can both steal some colors from.

If you want to see a teal or turquoise get ahold of malex in the racers hang out. He had one that will knock you over. But again everything malex does is outstanding craftsmanship.

Mine was white with red stripe. But changing it out for a different color. Turquoise to me is about the best there is with the white stripe on the 440 model.

HAve you just googled 64 Polara? There's usually a color choice at the top of the listing.

The Black Polara shown above is owned by a buddy of mine - Bob I did the crossram set up on it - 500ci wedge with a polished crossram

I owned a black/black interior back in the '70s. Lived in Maryland at the time. When I sold it, it had a 383 auto with a 456 Dana. Guy I sold it to hit a large pole with it then had it fixed. Last time I saw it, it was a little rough looking.

Just have to wonder, she was my first true love!

Take a look at the house of kolors they have some great colors.
