Have you ever made friends with a Midget ?

Knew a Pitmaster in Texas that was vertically challenged. Had to stand on some old milk crates to reach the chopping block. I'll tell you he was a wizard with BBQ, watching him in the back wielding a Chefs knife like a freakin Katana...(it's what it looked like) Some of the best damn Brisket and Ribs you could ever hang a fang in... place was packed everyday. Pitmaster Chris you are a rockstar

Well, that depends.. I'm not tall by any stretch but, also not a midget. I'm 5'6". But being a smaller guy all my life has had its advantages and disadvantages. Disadvantage, not a lot of chicks dig short guys.. You know the old phrase tall, dark and hansom.. Well, I have one of those traits.. Its not tall or hansom.Advantages, for the longest time I could buy my clothes in the childrens section. lol Sounds terrible now but its true. I could wear size 28 jeans for a long time. I think a lot of people have that phobia about tiny people. I don't think its weird, its just not something you see ever day. I mean look at it from their perspective. They probably think normal size people look weird.
At 5' 6" you'd be taller than average in some countries and they have hot gals looking for a 'taller' guy! So there ya go, you'd have two of the three traits you mentioned...

With his little T-Rex arms and my low car I had to almost get out of the car to get my food.

These days they'll refuse to serve you if you get out of your car. It's a vicious circle of starvation!:bananaweed:

Lot's of famous "Little People" out there. I always thought it was kind of cruel using them in movies and shows but I don't believe they think so. Hey they have to eat too $$$

Anyone remember John Papas from Moparts? He owned a Superbird at one point and think he has others. I met him once at the Houston Raceway.....IIRC, Dartgirl posed sitting on the wing one time. She's no longer among the living though and I'm not sure where John is these days either.

I do remember! Isn't that the guy that did all the Five Star Car Videos??? He would go do a walkaround at the car shows, and the the other half would be drag racing? I bought a lot of VHS tapes from that guy over the years. I had to snicker a little when he came to the trucks in the shows, he'd pass on footage of the motors cuz he was a little short.

**EDIT** Confirmed;

I'm sure he didn't care to carry a small step ladder around all over the place lol

Oh yeah, I dated a girl that was 4' 11" also and barely 95 lbs. We had a pretty good time for about 2 years until her mom got in the middle of us. My girl friend was constantly being taken advantage of (her car and money mainly) so I asked her to move in with me. I bought her a 67 Dart and junked her big *** Ford that she could barely see over the steering wheel and told her never let her brothers drive the Dart. She wasn't a drama queen but her younger brother and mom sure were so I decided to move on.....

I use to go out with a midget a long time ago. I was nuts over her too. Unfortunately she died playing ping pong. She ran off the table. But on a serious note there was a midget who worked as a plumber here in my home town. He was a real nice guy.

I was good friends with a guy I used to work with that was under 4-ft tall. He drove a Toyota pickup rigged with custom raised blocks for his feet to reach. He had no trouble driving the hell out of that vehicle. He was one of the most chill people I knew back then and we would always talk music and compare groups we liked. It only took a few weeks and I didn’t really notice his height anymore. Just a cool dude.
One time we were talking smack to each other and our tech company had an on site weight gym. I’m a slim build guy, 5’10” and here my buddy says he can bench 225. I’m fairly strong for my 145-lb body weight and can press up 170 on a good day and he is way smaller than me so I call B.S. He did have yoked forearms though. So we go to the gym and do a warm up set with 95 then 135. I then press up 165. He proceeds to press up 225 then 245 and calls it quits. Holy crap he was strong! He also had the advantage that his arm travel requirement above his chest was much shorter:)

Sorry not all people in China are of small stature.
What classifies a midget?
Little people have a height limit of I believe 5'-0" and have a friend whos wife just qualifies. At little people conventions she feels tall. My big sister is also 5'-2". She has always claimed it was because we pushed her away from the trough. I also have a friend from childhood that just qualified with the Navy's height requirements.
I have never been step on or ran over by a little person. I can not say the same for the cyclops's amongst us. Just food for thought.

Gravity man gravity.

My Wife is 5' tall. Not a midget my any means.
The guy that played "Tattoo" from Fantasy Island, Herve Villichaize was 3'11. I recall reading that after that show, his acting roles really dried up and he was despondent.
I have heard that suicide rates for these people is higher than average.

Angelo Rossitto was only 2'11". He played Master in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

I was surprised to see that he lived to be 83 years old.
