Fitech EFI install input needed

How does the unit work on your dual plane? any issues?
It runs great... Excellent throttle response, no lags, no roughness, just like a modern car... Starts quickly with a twist of the key, hot, cold, sitting for a month, doesn't mater, reach in turn the key to the run position, let the system go through it's process then twist the key to start... It'll start & idle immediately.. You still hear the cam but it's milder sounding.. I live at 50' above sea level & I've had it over 10,000 ft,, It doesn't care, it just runs flawlessly...

I saw and touched and examined the FiTech 3x2 system in person and BOOYAH! that is one sweet 3x2 TBI setup! If only I hadn't just dumped $1,400 parts and labor into my 3 Holley 2bbl carbs, and the "600 horsepower" ceiling worries me for my future stroker motor, so as great as it would be now, it may not meet my future needs.
If I wasn't absolutely going to build a 600HP/650TQ stroker, I would even consider selling my wonderful Promax modded Holley carbs to switch over to the FiTech 3x2 system. It's a thing of beauty in person.

I've been using the 30062 Dual TBI Fitech for 3 years. The best advice I can give is to READ THE DIRECTIONS and then FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. If it says hook the 12 volt lead directly to the battery, DO IT. If it says hook the ground wire to the battery, DO IT. The majority of problems that I see happen because guys will get power and ground from other sources; OR, bundle the EFI wires with the ignition wires, etc. Not so critical on carbureted cars, but EXTREMELY critical on EFI cars.
Customer service used to be spotty, but they're getting their act together and it's much better now. 55 years with carburetors and I won't go back...

@coloradodave
I am going to ask the same question.
The best option for me, whether I keep my Promax modded Holley 2bbl carbs or go with the FiTech 3x2 system or more likely the F&B direct port injection 3x2 throttle body system, IF I want something other than my current DUAL PLANE Edelbrock/Chrysler aluminum 6bbl intake is the ModMan intake with the 3x2 top for a standard port RB engine.
Do you have Max Wedge ports?
How do you like the ModMan and what did you have before?
:thankyou: :popcorn2::popcorn2::popcorn2::popcorn2:

Bio I know what you are talking about that set up is sweet. Been thinking about it for my ride. It only makes sense like r/t says hit the switch and go. Spend more time with other stuff not carbs but I get it you just dumped alot into what you got so run it until it fails. But maybe in the future it will happen.

I had my mechanic friend installed the Fitech Go Street 30003 System this past spring, which boosted the 340 up to 400hp. My intake is set up for a 4bbl. Does just like 1wild R/T said above.

The Mod-Man intake is an Indy Cylinder Head product that has interchangeable top plates. Single 4 barrel, dual four barrel and three two barrels, as well as a couple of different tops for FAST EFI.
I removed my original max wedge heads and crossram and replaced them with the 440-1 Indy aluminum heads with max wedge ports. My original heads and crossram are ported also. I'm very impressed with the Mod-Man on my street car. Instant throttle response from any RPM and pulls very hard. No dyno numbers and no drag strip runs. Kind of miss the crossram look, but like being a little different.
I purchased the heads and intake from Todd Marsh at Marsh Performance and was very happy with his customer service, ethics and attention to detail. I highly recommend him and his business in Linwood, NC: [email protected]

Best case scenario, you want a larger return than feed. Yes, EFI requires a fair amount of fuel pressure. Most of that fuel is flowing directly back into the tank, it's a constant flow, if you had a fuel cell in the trunk [like myself] you could physically see the massive amount of fuel volume flowing back into the tank at idle. If you restrict this flow, with too small of a return line - for one - it will make the fuel pump work that much harder - and two - your internal FPR may not regulate properly. I run a -8 AN feed / -10 AN return. This was common practice for forced induction.
