Holes in the pass side trans cross member. So then ya need to see the top of the rail under the control arms, shackle bracing, etc. Maybe a member on here would check it out in person for you....if you said where it was.

definitely have eyes laid on that.Never rely on pics.

Well my expectations were pretty high for his asking price of 28

don't write it off yet. Just have someone look at it in person.Gotta be members near Philly...bet a steak dinner would get eyes on it.

Opinion? Okay. NEVER spend that kind of money on ANYTHING without looking at it yourself. A friend of a friend bought a T/A clone off of the net. When it came off the truck, he put it in the garage like Fred Flintstone. You know, pushing it with your feet thru the floor boards. That was just a small part of the rust. Took a fifteen grand loss on it, just to get rid of it.

Oh absolutely, I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth the road trip.

Check the member map we started a few years ago and contact someone in PA. If that fails, spend $250 or so on a professional inspection.

When you say 28, do you mean $28000.00? Put it out of your mind! Too much cancer!
And it's in all the wrong places. $2800.00, Too much work! Spend more money and do
less cuttin & Weldin!

Only based on what I can see. It’s definitely worth 28K if the crossmember rot is the absolute only issue. Any major issues beyond that. I would pass.
Look closely at all floor boards, trunk pan remainder of frame and front fender dog legs. These areas are subject to rot on these cars.
Don’t pass on a fair deal, if it’s minor stuff that can be easily fixed.
Front fenders are extremely hard to find for these cars. Look at the dog legs between the front wheel and door, where it attaches to frame under the car. All of these cars have something here and there. If it’s not major, go for it and good luck. Understand and expect a few things needing attention.

Thank you all for your help, but honestly I thought 28 I for a good clone was a bit high. Am I wrong?

Seems pretty high price to me? Looking at that bolt through the upper control are, I'm curious what else is screwed up on the car?
