Dash vin tag replacement

You're talking numbers on the Title, VIN, and body stampings? I honestly didn't think the States paid that much attention to a 40+ yo car anymore unless it's reported stolen. That's an extreme amount of work to get tags on your car.

I have lived in PA all my life and that is a very long time, been pulled over or checked for various reasons, traffic stop, accidents etc,"never" have had any LEO check vin on dash.Always ask for license, registration and insurance usually in that order, nothing more.

if it’s legitimate damaged tag replacement it’s fine. There are cars that have the dash completely removed. It doesn’t mean you can’t restore it.

But there is due process. You just dont put it together and hope for the best.
They only check title and vin at time of regestration after a sale or putting one back on the road. Not that they can not stop you and check if they think there could be a problem. But why take the chance after spending a bank full of money?
