Of course, I HAVE been eating an inordinate amount of Granma Utz kettle chips lately, eh
Until you got to the soup beans and corn bread (that's what we call 'em down here, usually festooned withEd if you're trying to eat all of those chips your doctor is going to give you the dickens when your cholesterol level is through the roof!
Now you made me hungry and homesick talking about Southern food.
Things I've tried and won't try again...
Pickled pigs feet.
Pigs knuckles. (Early beginnings of Super Glue)
Fried pig's brains. (My Dad's Dad fried them in the pan with his eggs in the morning)
Mountain Oysters (I can take them or leave them, no big deal)
I love scrapple, pudden and hominy, cracklings.
My all time favorite southern meal is Cornbread with Pinto Beans and Ham Hock
Yeah, I'm getting to where I finally like that stuff. Pretty much had to, since all the "fun" sauces are nowI can dip anything in ranch and enjoy it!!

Anyone ever try balute? An Asian delicacy that I just LOVE! It’s a duck egg that is partly developed. Usually something like a couple of weeks old so the embryo is partly formed to a baby duck. You know like a fetus that is partly formed. You drink the embryonic fluid and then with a little salt and pepper you eat the embryo. You can get it in most Asian countries or where there’s a large population of them. I learned to eat it in the Philippines and still eat it regularly because my wife is VN and loves it too. Hope I explained it accurately it’s a must try.
Alzheimer's.....from eating balute.I thought you posted that before. Deja Vu ?
Fresh scali bread with a heaping of butter and sugar sprinkled on it.
