Schumacher

Rumors….ugh. Did you actually try to call them?

Right now, hard to because I'm 9+ hours, deployed. I'm gonna try later

Within the past year, I've ordered and received Engine and Transmission mounts, and have a Torque Strap on back order. It's been a while, so not sure about the O-O-B ?

A friend of mine, who isn't computer savvy, told me about Schumacher. He too has a strap that is on back order. He also called Mancini and that is what Mancini told him. He wanted me to post it on the forum and I'm curious too. I have one of their straps

I would hope that they are not out of business...they have provided many good products for the hobby....

When I constantly see threads complaining about pricing and how people can buy certain cars . I wouldn’t be shocked......a hobby can’t flourish with dollar general budgets........

Back when I started in restoring cars all that was available was NOS or donor parts.....then in the 90’s a lot of decent restoration parts were available. Currently, there is hardly any NOS, the restoration parts suck and the donor cars are junk......

The crux for the Mopar hobby is we are a small group and there is little money in developing parts....

I heard that do to Mike's health, the business is for sale. And again it may be just a rumor.

I was trying to get some poly mounts for a recent 408 build, and could not get anyone to answer the phone or return messages. This was within the last two months.

I tried calling a few weeks back , no answer

There website shows all Tri Headers Out Of Stock

An option would be to call Mancini's and ask those guys, as they were a vendor for Schumacher.

My friend akready did that, Mancini said out of business, thats why my friend asked me if true and to confirm

Wow okay. If the Mancini guys said they're out of business, I would say that right there confirms it...bummer.

That’s a bummer. They were a good source for hobby parts. I’ve bought parts from them in the past and was very happy with the provisions. Does anyone else make the torque strap like theirs?

The last time I saw Mike Schumacher, he didn't look well at all.I sure hope he is ok.I would hate to loose a great guy that sold nothing but quality products. A true Mopar Man.

Wow what a shame

I just got a email from Michael. I ordered a torque strap a couple weeks ago. He is having a problem with one of the components in the kit and let me know that the issue should be resolved in a couple weeks. He was very nice and offered a refund if I did not want to wait. I am waiting.

Good to know. Friend of mine needs one and was on back order too. This subject was posted on another Mopar forum that I saw
