Hi guys, can anyone tell me for what are this oval hole in the lower dash cover ? Under dash light ???

Something must be mis-aligned because that slotted hole fits over the stud you mentioned. Gets a flat washer and a nut. It is only a means of fastening the bottom of the panel. If you have a map light, it fastens to the bottom lip of the dash panel. Non A/C cars didn't use that panel.

Ahh cool , thanks for the information ! Yes is tight to the kick panel too and not sure all the other 3 front holes fit exactly in the dash holes an the frame ! If someone’s have a good pictures from a good installed one It will be nice to see

I just took some pics of mine. Although mine has had some modifications since I have the computer for my 6.1 mounted on the kick panel. It didn't change the mounting of the fiber panel though. Mine is tight to the kick panel too and my kick panel has been cut to make room for the wiring plugs. I'm sure it was designed to cover the fresh air hose assembly from happy feet. Not sure why yours could be 1/2" off. My pics don't really show much though so don't know how much help they could be. Sorry.
