I'm hoping someone has put one of the new Max Wedge Oil Pans on their engine, as I'm looking for an Oil Pick Up Tube that will work with this. First try was a P4529567, and it is too long for the pan. Using a Mopar Performance RB block. Any, and all info appreciated, Thanks...

I would like a measurement on your new pan if you get the time. The height of the area where the centerlink passes by to the flange that bolts to the block. Use a straight edge across the flange and measure down to the area where the centerlink would be.

The pan that I used is really too close in this area. I know as my motor mounts settle over time its going to be touching. I like the looks of the pan you bought and I'm hoping its not as tall in this area.

I bought that pan and used this pick-up on my 440 block. Had to trim the front of the windage tray due to how shallow the pan is at the front.

You mean that new high dollar reproduction pan doesnt come with any kind of pickup??

I will always check the oil level with a new pan. put in what size the pan is supposed to be,,,,5qts,,,6qts or 10 qts.
I also use the Lokar flexable dipstick.

C.Dave, I see they offer that p/u in a 1/2" tube, which is what I need. Did you need to shorten the overall length, or just trim the windage tray ?

The pick-up fit without modification. My windage tray is a Milodon. I had to trim approximately 2-2.5" from the front, due to the pan being so shallow in order to clear the K-member in a 63. Left the rail in tact, just zipped the tray part. Darn; should have taken a picture or 2...

Unfortunately, I've never bought a pan from anybody that came with a pick-up. Part of the problem is that some guys want 3/8" pipe thread and others the 1/2". Even Ma Mopar made you buy the pick-up separately...

Hey KK, I can get that dimension for you after the engine is built & installed, but it probably won't be 'til the Spring, I'm guessing...

Hey Dan, I was looking for the measurement on the section of the pan before you put the pan on! Lol

Here's what I'm looking for. 5 inches in from the rear of the pan I need the height.

I can get the dimension when I head down for the dyno run. Right now, I'm in Lancaster, NY, and the engine is in Mooresville, NC. Hope to have it running before Xmas...
