Thompson power steering pump question

I have a 65 Coronet 500 with a 318 poly, it has the original Thompson blind end power steering pump on it, and it's leaking. I cannot find a replacement pump anywhere, everyone is back ordered indefinitely evidently. How hard is it to convert to a Saginaw pump, or does anyone have the part # for the rebuild kit for the Thompson?
 
Just need the brackets, pulley and pump. Might need to change the pressure hose, but I’m not 100% on that.
 
Five years ago I bought a Seal kit for the TRW pump on my '68 Coronet. I have the sales slip with the part number 351390 on it. I'm sure it's a Gates brand. You may want to look into that number and see if it's correct for your pump.

Thanks for the help guys. OK, now for part 2 of the question, I know how to get the pulley off, but my how to do I get it back on? I.m thinking support the shaft in the press, before the reservoir goes on?

I just rebuilt the Thompson on my 66 belvy. Napa kit worked, FYI. Under $20. I have the box somewhere with the part number. Took longer to pull the pump than it did rebuild. One word of caution - when you seperate the housing, the "rotor" has fingers that will fall out, they are directional. Make sure you go slow and mark rotation on these...

Ordered the kit from NAPA this morning, going to give it a try. Thanks for the heads up on the fins.

I thought that Mopar used either Saginaw or Federal pumps. Ford used the Thompson pump. The difference was: Saginaw uses a vane pump design. Federal uses roller pump design and a Thompson used a "cam and roller" design. I must plead ignorance as to the intricacies of the Thompson design as I've not disassembled that type.

THANK YOU, the mechanic #15....the presentation is very enlightening and very well explained. I should have realized that Thompson was part of the TRW consortium of Thompson Ramo Woolridge, who make a multitude of car parts. After viewing the presentation, one can see why Mopar went to simpler design in the Saginaw pump.
