What is everyone working on in the off season.

I'm working on the tow vehicle. My ultra modern 95 3500 diesel dually. Rear brake wheel cylinders, starter rebuild, NV 4500 5th gear repair, boost repair. Split a boot. Boost was down to only 20psi. Then it's on to my buddy's new N/SS car. Here's a little teaser.

I'm installing a 4.10 Dana in my Road Runner. We broke an 8 3/4 axle at the end of the season. Been wanting to do that swap for some time to make the car look more believable as an A12. I don't push it off as a real one, but for me, not having Dana is a dead giveaway. I always wanted one of those chrome diff covers. Now I will.

Also been working on getting my son's convertible together. Needs a top installed. Looking for someone in the PA area to do it. Not having much luck.

I also planned to take the engine out of my road runner for new paint and detail. When installed a few years ago, I didn't prep it as well as I should have. Now the paint is peeling, and I can't have that.

With what time is left, I plan to insulate the ceiling of the garage and dry wall it. Should be a busy winter!

Going to be crewing on a friends street/strip full weight '69 Roadrunner next year, currently building the car up with good parts to handle the mild pump gas 588ci wedge motor he's just bought. Car will run brkts and do 5>6 meetings plus lots of short trip street driving including to the track and back, should be fun as he's currently only been going 12.4's with a mild 440, got some learning to do with 730+ftlbs on tap, and hopefully mid>low 10's.

Any photos??

the short version for me is my health is what I am working on. 2019 was a very bad year for me physically and emotionally. as for the car I found out the shock mounts on the back of my 64 330 are to short. I will be making them adjustable to correct the problem. I did get to get the car out four weeks ago. did some eighth mile bracket racing. I lost in the third round. had a good time and my car had a new personal eighth mile run. it went a 6.251 at 110.9 mph. im not sure what that would be in the quarter mile but the car was consistent all five runs I made. I am looking forward to spring time.

Worked on the Dart this week. Built a paint booth in my garage and got at it.
Pictures for progress:
Thursday, 7:30 AM, ready to paint, paint is mixed.

10:00 AM. 2nd basecoat is almost on and the power goes out. Garage went pitch black, got my coverall leg stuck in the right qtr. panel while feeling my way out.

11:00 AM, no power, picture with flash. Exhaust fan quit with the power outage, look at the overspray on the roof.. It was not a happy place...

Power back on almost 2 hours later. The base coat dried up and I wet sanded out the texture print on the quarter panel. Finished up the base coat, clear coat going on.

Replacing the factory radiators in the Roadrunner and GTO with Cold Case aluminum radiators. While the radiator is out, going to install the Wraptor serpentine system and accessories. Power steering (Borgeson) for the Roadrunner will make parallel parking a non-life threatening experience.
I have a lot more that needs to be done. I'm having a shop install the QA1 K-member and front suspension along with the 4 wheel Wilwood disc brake system and new stainless steel brake lines.
Both cars need Vintage Air AC systems installed along with Dakota Digital gauges and I have a Hydramax hydraulic throwout bearing setup and I have to get the HitMaster launch control system, because those are going in at the same time, and I want to get a chrome molly driveshaft to install around that time too.
Got a TKO600 5 speed to replace the Muncie 4 speed in the GTO too, in the box in the garage. Getting the replacement Quick Performance rear axle housing to swap out the one in the GTO now. The new one will be 1/2" wider, have the adjustable lower control arm brackets that should have been on the first one, and the Global West coilover conversion brackets too.
So not sure how much I'll do or get done, but lots of changes ahead!
Caltracs setup for the Roadrunner asap, and putting down a deposit on an aluminum RB block that I hope to get built out by May, but at least pay off the block by May.

Where is the block coming from, you’re going to be a busy man!

Southeastern Performance R/T. It's a Bill Mitchell World block based unit. They are doing QC for the units probably end of this year or January 2020. I won't be ready to pay off the block until May unless I get a new client that needs a big job done, and with everything else I have to do, I am going to do well to just pay off the block in May, but I will get it built out if I can afford to.

Installing correct door panels from Legendary. Mine were from a charger-coronet.

What was the damage on that?
I'll let you know when I know for sure.
It's in the range of the others, but is supposed to be ready for final machining. There are quite a few posts about the Indy Maxx needing "fixing" before finishing, but I defer to those who have the Indy block to share their experience and actual cost.

Hey Malex is that water base l? looks good
---
No Sir, it's an RM solvent base. I've found waterbase a problem to use at home. Just don't have the air flow that it needs, the cost of it is about triple as well. Solvent based is my preference.

I used waterbase on this Pantera. I did the engine bay at home, the exterior was finished in a booth, then back home and finished up.
