I DONT UNDERSTAND! They are now pushing electric cars? I remember not so long ago there was a shortage of electric and brown power (lower amperage) in major cities. They want to close down the coal fired power plants and nuclear plants and flood the land with wind generators and solar panels. But yet want to generate more things that consume large amounts of power.

That's the real problem, a certain group of people want green everything, but don't realize what it takes to make it happen. They don't want fossil fuel , coal, or nuclear, just electric. They never thought about how to make electric for the masses.

Yep I have friends in Rockport MO. That town went totally wind power wind generators everywhere. They have had a lot of issues. No wind too much wind then having to go back on the grid. And said there power bills went up a lot.

Here in Rhode Island, they are installing new electric charging stations for electric cars, that are powered by diesel generators! Now that sounds logical!

Part of Ford's agreement for the $5.9 billion in TALF funds they received in 2009 was that they invest in "greener" cars and vehicles.

I think the real problem is people don't realize what to do with all those hazardous dead batteries from electric vehicles would cause more problems then solutions getting rid of them!

again.....there will still be an environmental issue once all these batteries come to their end-life.

That was what I was thinking. Not that I care for the look of a modern Mustang, but come on. An SUV’ish, whatever that is? I think they just killed the legacy of the Mustang by doing that. I guess every car from Ford will now be some form of Mustang. Kinda like Forest Gump with all those shrimp dishes. Mustang coupe, Mustang sedan, Mustang station wagon, Mustang SUV, Mustang..... you get the idea.
