Going for ham this year and turkey for Christmas. But prime rib sounds good also.

I’m thinking smoked pheasant this year.

I am going to have turkey. I am tired of eating crow

I'd rather have a Nene, but yea we're having Turkey.

Happy Thanksgiving to all
Nene are endangered, $20k if u get caught ! Never had Goose, But I've had duck ! Its good !

Smoking a bird and once again, White Castle stuffing.
Speaking of Alice's Restaurant, did you know Nixon had a copy of it in the WH?
Did you know how long the gap in his secret recording was?
Eighteen minutes, thirty seconds.
Coincidence?

Local radio station plays it every year at noon.

This year we had deep fried turkey. Done right it is better than roasted IMO. Has to to be a fresh turkey, almost room temperature before frying, and fried to 160 degrees. A real crowd pleaser.

We like having pork loin cooked over mesquite with grilled asparagus, oven roasted red potatoes and a mixed green salad, with a touch of Wild Turkey for taste..

If you’re ever in the Boston area,,you’re always welcome at my house. Hope all is well Kid!

That's mighty kind of you Wojo! And I'd take you up on it too if I ever find my way up there.

You already had Thanksgiving?

You're so right about deep fried. It's the best. My suggestion to anyone that hasn't done one before is to watch someone else do it. It can be risky with the oil involved. One cold spot in the bird and you can have a reaction that boils the oil over and out of the pot. Then you have a grease fire with the propane burner under it. Too much oil in the pot can cause problems also with a spill over when placing in the bird. Doing everything right can be very rewarding. Useing the cooker can make a great fish fry also
