I lost a lot of respect for Steve Torrence after watching him smack Cameron Ferre after beating him. He may not have liked the way Cameron staged, but he was within the rules when he did stage. Each driver is out there to win. There is no reason for one driver to lay down just because the opponent has a chance to win a championship!

Many of the drivers play games...John Force is notorious for doing at the tree, Greg Anderson intentionally manipulated his qualifying to get Erica in the first round. Does Steve Torrence think the other competitors need just let him win????

Lost a lot of respect for Force when he played canvas back a few years back to get Height into the playoffs. Too bad Pedregon didn’t deck him.

I'm told it's like fights one guy is supposed to take a dive and everyone gets payed .
Maybe the dude didn't take a dive and the other guy was mad!

Can’t stand Torrence’s attitude! Nora is getting as bad as Nascar....aka intentional spin outs to draw a caution. It’s all big business now!:mob: Phone won’t let me spell Nhra for some reason. But it did that time.

Should have gone to jail and lost all his points,Allen Jonson got busted with the night before beer ,and it cost him the year.but hey he drove a Mopar

Yeah he looked like a spoiled little rich kid brat. He did say the right things later and seemed genuinely remorseful that he did it. They also showed him talking to Ferre and shaking his hand later. It was a big time over reaction. He acted like Ferre ran him off the track into the wall or something. Looked like he wanted to set the kid straight at the top end and didn't like the kid's response. The price of living an entitled life.

No harm no foul
he thought the guy was playing games (allegedly)
& was gonna' lose the championship

I'd like to know what the 'smug kid' said
that made Steve, go off push him, after they were talking calmly

& he did apologized later

could it have been handled better 'yeah'

unless you've been in his shoes
& in that type of a defining moment, pressure
I'd say; don't judge him too harsh

I've gotten out of my car & wanted to beat someone's *** too
glad it wasn't on TV, for all to judge harshly too

I chalk it up to **** happens
lots of egos & lots of $$$ & a championship, was on the line

I think both drivers, learned something from that altercation
they 'made nice' in the pits afterwards too
like men do
