I think I need to rebuild the AVS on my Belvedere. It's been forever since I rebuilt a Carter carb. Looking for input on the best rebuild kits out there.

Thanks,
Lee

I purchased mine from Carbjunkys. Jim is very knowledgeable on the Carter AVS. Good prices and parts availability.

I've always used Standard Motor Products "Jiffy Kits". Google SMP and plug jn your info and location and the site will direct you to the local location.

Ended up buying an SMP rebuild kit from Summit. Waiting for my new fuel pump to carb fuel line kit to arrive. Existing one got twisted somewhere along the line.

Speaking of rebuilding carbs, I really don't want to buy that nasty smelling carb dip stuff. Any other products that are good for cleaning carbs?

I've been using a ultrasonic cleaning unit with simple green.... It works extremely well....

The SMP kits are generally Ok but some of the AVS's take a larger diameter accelerator pump that SMP doesn't offer.... my local Napa had the pump in stock...

The carburetor shop in forest lake mn is a great place to get carb kits and parts.
They are mopar guys too!!

I have tried to deal with them but the website doesn't have a way to purchase, they don't answer the phone, their answering machine doesn't allow you to leave a message it just says call again... & they don't respond to emails.... How the hell do they stay in business? Walk ins?
