U.S. Car Tool Mini Tub Installation

I can't make out diddly squat from those pics. There's nothing to reference to.

Ok, thanks. I'm going to have a look at mine.

Thanks for the tip on the dehumping. I have way too many tools, including a shrinker-stretcher so I'll be trying that. I've included a couple of pics of my shop. By the way, that was a couple of years ago when it was clean - LOL. I've recently upgraded to LED lighting which makes it bright as a dime in a goat's butt now.

Sorry, it's hard to stick your head in there and take a picture. If you look at yours and then the pictures I'm sure you can figure it out.

Here's some pics from my dehump job. I made a cardboard template/pattern, bought the metal at Lowes. I left parts of the old outer well hump as braces till after most of new metal was welded on then cut them out. I did that to keep the outer well lips aligned, which you won't have to worry about with quarters on. That is a benefit to doing them from underneath.

General question does anyone use any kind of seam sealer with the tub installation.

Very handy stuff, I used seam sealer in a lot of places but almost none on the wheel wells. I just painted them and sprayed the underside with rubberized undercoat, which helped hide the dehump surgery scars. That is about the only place I put any undercoat.

We are going to de hump as well. Im using Caltracs and split monos. my wheel is forward and the 295/65r 15s now hit front of wheel opening. How did you guys move it back?

I ordered right leaf springs For the US car tool relocation kit. We’re doing new Quarters. Hoping to use Hoosier 29.5 11.5 15 on 15x12

Looks good BigFoot. By the way, through U.S. Car Tools Facebook page, I contacted them about the proper installation of their body stiffening kit and Win Cooke shot me back some detailed pictures that really helped me out. I just wanted to give him a big vote of thanks and let the group know that he is more than willing to let us home builders out. It's been snowing pretty good here and I've been working to remove the undercoating so I can weld on the front tower supports now that I know how to install them. I purchased a cheap Harbor Freight needle scaler and it seems to work pretty well though I do need ear plugs and a mask. With my Parkinson's I can only go so long before I need to take a break but I try to work on it some each day. Wish me luck.

41dodge your awesome fighting to build your car and also fighting the Parkinson's. That's a real man good luck on the car and your health will say prays.

On the relocation some people are drilling another set of wholes because of the s s springs. I believe someone shows the relocation done in the suspension & brake post.

I used the same Caltrac/mono set up on my charger but with 30x11.7 (315-60r-15s) on 15x9 wheels, which all made the rear sit to hi. So I got some of these lowering blocks, which nicely adjust front to back.... Also, I misspoke earlier, I did the spring offset kit/mod which is all mine needed for tire clearance, not the relocate.

calvert sent me the wrong rear shackles for an A body according to part numbers. Bought them about a year ago and just noticed when installing. The rear hanger location is a bit far back. Going to make new shackles and move mounting point forward. (First pic where it’s at now) Thought about re drilling new holes on the US Car tool front frame rail brackets. (currently using center hole)

Your Charger has a killer stance!!! Absolute beautiful car!
Thinking of using a lowering block. Current wheels 30”. I’m hoping to use Hoosier 29.5x11.5x15 slicks on 15x12 wheel. They are 30” diameter with about 15” center section. With the tubs I have about 17 inch width in wheel opening.

On the front mounts folks are redrilling one inch back. You can also for the rears only a thought but you could put sliders on the rear. We're is shock tower compared to rear housing.
