Can someone tell me what the tabs in the rear valance are for? There are 3 of them. The only wire that comes out of the back is for the license plate light and it comes out of the hole right above the light.

When you say tabs, I think you mean holes. If that's the case, those two holes in question are for the backup lights for a '69 Charger. My guess is that you've got a '69 valance & the backup lamp holes have been filled in, but they didn't fill in the holes for the light wires.

That figures thank you. It was an AMD valance. I guess I should have filled the holes and cut off the wire holders before painting. Thanks for the response RC.

I ran into the same problem with mine. It did not have the back-up light holes punched in it but it did have the holes for the harness grommets, just as yours does. You will need only one of the harness wire holders. Also, the hole for the backup wire to come through from the trunk is larger than the original.
When I contacted AMD about it...crickets. They were clueless. Never heard of that before.
I too, discovered this after the car was painted. I made a couple metal plugs from the old valance using a larger diameter plug on the bottom and the other plug the exact diameter of the hole and glued them in place with body panel adhesive. Skim coated, primed and blended with base/clear.
As for the hole for the back up light wire coming through from the trunk, I could not find the correct grommet, so I searched until I found a rubber plug and punched a small hole for the wire to go through. It's somewhat hidden and it doesn't look bad. Not really what I wanted to do, but it is the least conspicuous and it is watertight.
Hope this helps.

The corners are not supposed to be filled in either.....The gap between the valence and the corner piece....
