Insulated it last year and installed a ductless heat/AC last week. Being in NY it makes it a lot more enjoyable working in there!

heatpumps have come a long way in the last 10 yrs! quiet and they work in cold weather now. I like your choice in cars,when my Rt/awd magnum gives up, I'm following your lead, since I can't find an ats-v wagon -if my son wasn't a gm tech I wouldn't touch a caddy out of warranty!
 
I have a Mitsubishi 36k in mine. Quiet and works well!

They told me it will work to minus 5 degrees F. Hope I never have to find out.
