Ripped off on a car purchase by a member

The dude,needs to do the right thing, and give the guy his money back,and take the car back. The Mopar world is small, and the Internet has made it even smaller. If you are not straight up with people in the hobby, the word will get out about it,you can count on it!
 
Unfortunately, if he gets the car back he will have learned nothing and will continue his misdeeds under a new alias. I am greatly in favor of him doing time. Seizing and selling his assets will hamper his return after jail.
One has to realize that he is not, nor ever will be honest and trustworthy. He is a liar and a cheat now. He can say he will return the money, but my bet is he will not.
 
Will sad to see that anyone would do this to another person. Doesn't have to be a car nut. There is many different ways to handle it but just remember that karma will bite him in the ***. Don't let a couple bad apples stop you from coming to the forum. I know that type of money doesn't grow on trees.

i dont think you are understanding the full scope of this scene now.
this guy,this thief,has been in our midst ripping people off since At Least 2011...
hes been doing it on other sites as well,with other brands of cars no telling how long.
he is a manipulative scumbag.

so,lets point out the truth for all to understand.
if this guy gets the car back and pays the buyer back,
then whats to stop him from selling it to someone overseas ??
next door...some other innocent victim..?
in other words,this needs to Stop right Here,
this is the Chance to have this guy taken care of by the law.
there is a clear chain of evidence and this guy would be convicted.

just want you guys to think about something ...
this guy got caught because his deal went south in a forum full of regs who are Pros at these cars.
imagine how Many newbies this guy has screwed over so bad that they have Left this hobby?

This guy is a steaming POS I purchased what was supposed to be a brand new grill from him a while back & after it showed up in his piss poor packaging which had caused damage to the grill & then he tried to make it out to be my fault not to mention the grill was far from new unless you consider new a rattle can resto with superglue repairs plus it was missing trim that was supposed to be included.
I filed a paypal claim which got my money back but I still ate the return shipping.

somehow I think he is lacking those 2 cells seeing his past behavior
so it appears he will have to learn the hard way.

I say get this dude locked up ! It might take longer to get your money back but I think removing this scum will be well worth the wait !

you should put more info on that go fund me,like a brief storyline,
the 2 pictures thing doesnt really explain much.
so people know what its about and Then i can share it to various groups.
obviously,keep it general.,.no last names etc etc.

im a bit confused as to why you need a lawyer tho,if you let this go to civil court he will win.
better to have him arrested first then proceed.
theres already a case for vin fraud and have you contacted the feds or this guys Local cops yet??

I agree Rob.....Something just seems very ....welll, odd?

We were told by the OP a few days ago we would have an update in them morning....and crickets....

Then a "gofundme" account in your previous post is quoted from the OP for "lawyer" fees, really? And the account is MIA, change of heart or GFM shut it down?

The the two aliases , the GFM acct and zero updates......It just raises to many questions.....

Maybe the OP can update this thread with some new information......
 
refund recieved. Pickup of the car pending. The gfm account was mine. I shut it down when i got my hard earned money back. I believe you guys, this forum, were a major influence on gtxkid doing the right thing.

I will send a final update in a few days. Been very busy here. When the refund is confirmed and the car is out of my driveway.

That's great news for you. I personally would let the law know as someone else will soon be exactly where you were with this car as it will be sold again....
