I have a '67 Charger with Metallic Red interior. Is the dash pad supposed to be Metallic Red also? All the vendors only list Red. I got a red one from PG Classic, but its not metallic. I just doesn't look right. Am I going to have to paint it metallic red?
Thanks

The dash pad color is supposed to be the same as the interior color. It is supposed to match. If the factory ran out of color to paint the dash, it was painted black. Take my stepdads 66 Charger for example. Here's a picture. Hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't.

Get the correct color spray dye from Herb's paint. There is also cleaners, adhesion promoters, and clear coat to do a professional job.

I’ll be doing my dash pad at some point. You think a novice could get it to look decent?

Yes, easy job when you use name brand products like SEM. Sprays out real nice and leaves a good finish.
