What is everyone working on in the off season.

No Sir, it's an RM solvent base. I've found waterbase a problem to use at home. Just don't have the air flow that it needs, the cost of it is about triple as well. Solvent based is my preference.

I used waterbase on this Pantera. I did the engine bay at home, the exterior was finished in a booth, then back home and finished up.

Nope. It is a friends car, I did the body, some of the paint, then the finishing, sand, polish. It's got a 427 Roush small block in the back. Actually, that was about 10 years ago or so, I think I 've slipped a little since thoe days. Lol

Looking at the Dart that you're working on, I don't think you're slipping at all.

Thanks Ironbuilt! I'm always hard on myself. All my jobs used to be done in a down draft booth from 1993 up to about 2014. Then my buddy shut er down, the booth was gone. Since then it's all been at home in my home made booth and it's just my own stuff now.
The old 64 was my first time using the down draft booth, good lighting, baking and ventilation sure was nice.

That is one car I would cross over from Mopar for...Even the original powerplant, the 351 Cleveland, is one hell of an engine when they're built out! Great heads and big torque! Lots of potential. I'd like to see one with a Hellcat HEMI in it!

Yes! They had that aluminum ZF trans and big horkin 1350 u joints right there looking out at you.

Doug are you installing the trim on the 64.
Yes it's a Polara 500. Its gets a full interior. Fake fiberglass padded dash, console/floor shift, and fake light weight rear seat. The owners wife is who did my carpet and headliner. Motor is done. KB 540, -13 heads, Indy crossram. Built at best Machine

Got my tow truck all fixed. Plenty of boost now. All 5 gears in the trans. Still in nice shape for a 1995 out of Michigan. Stills outside all year. Did get it a waxed for its winter hibernation.

Like the tow rig good have it back on the road. Keep us updated on the 64.the paint on it looks beautiful that was not cheap I'm sure. Nice engine build Doug keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.

Looks great dvw….wheres the other 2 doors?
You get what you got back in 95. My partner in the old racecar bought it new to haul the car. I probably put more miles on it when he owned it. My son and his buddies spent a lot of tie cramped in the back seat in those days. They got to travel and go to the races. So they sucked it up and folded in. Bought it from him in 2003. Great truck, Cummins 5 speed stick. The only thing Id like to upgrade is the stopping ability with the camper and trailer. Close to 20,000lbs in race trim. Debating on rear disc or a Jake brake. They're about the same cost.

The paint was done by our friend Ted as was mine. He hooks us up. New old stock front spear trim and trunk lock went on today.
