68 Charger Mongrel

I decided to work or my cluster. It isn't perfect but looks a bunch better and didn't spend a lot on it.

Finishing up my dash except installing the pad. And getting some trim on too. I am using as much original stuff as I can. There might be a few scuffs that I cant get out and the trim along the windows have a few very small hail marks. But the car is over 50 years old and I am fine with it.

Everything on the dash is original (except the dash pad I will install later)

All the trim is original (even though not perfect) except the mirror. The only down side to this repop is it does not have the pentastar as the original did but it was just too far gone to put back on the car.

I love the second gen Charger good thing I had a few back when I old afford them!!!

Good work.

Cars are to be driven, make them perfect and you hardly ever or if ever, drive them!!

What did you use to clean the odometer a solution of some sort Need to do mine and any advise would help
I just washed it with soap and warm water. Mine was not real bad just dirty. I am sure someone will chime in that can help you more.

Looks great. I've Got two dashes that need taking apart and cleaning up. I was afraid the white numbers on the speedo might be kinda chalky and wipe off. Doesn't look like you had any problems.

I need to clarify the speedometer and gauges were cleaned with soap and water then a new vinyl cover was placed on them. The odometer was just washed and came out pretty nice. You can buy an over lay and it is not hard to do.

The vinyl decals looks like it turned out good. I am sure I will have to do the same. You have the 51 year old dash looking good.

I installed my QA1 upper control arms today and my re-built original equipment lowers. I used the originals to keep the factory sway bar. Also installed a new fuel tank new sending unit and new fuel line.

I got a lot of the more boring stuff done today. New fuel tank installed , New fuel line in , both disc spindles bead blasted and installed with the new QA1 control arms. Torsion bars are in. I will have it on wheels soon. Still a lot of small things that take a lot of time. Up dated picture's soon. Note to self next time install new fuel line while on the rotisserie. Much more difficult with the rear end and K member and engine in.

I installed the front and rear bumpers today.

Now if I could only take a picture with out shaking like a dog pooping a peach seed. lol

Yeah Jerry you see the 2 LB hammer lol 52 year old bumper brackets. Got a perfect fit but worked for it.
That many tools on the floor and a hammer too, I would have to have a rag down there and it would be blood stained as I leak way to easy now.

I resemble that remark! I had to wipe blood off the front bumper lol I wasn't even sure where it came from but it was mine lol.
