Ripped off on a car purchase by a member

refund recieved. Pickup of the car pending. The gfm account was mine. I shut it down when i got my hard earned money back. I believe you guys, this forum, were a major influence on gtxkid doing the right thing.

THANK YOU.

I will send a final update in a few days. Been very busy here. When the refund is confirmed and the car is out of my driveway.
Congrats to you and GTX getting it worked out. You did not say if it was a willing refund or a forced Paypal refund.. either way good on ya.

I learned much more than i ever wanted to know about the workings of paypal, cc disputes, and our “law(s)”. Most of it i will not discuss until this is all over. Done. Done.

Fair enough... Glad you got your money back. Make sure you give him 90 days to recover the car. Or storage fees apply. :)

Happy to hear that!.........Glad the forum helped you out with that!

Does the refund hinge on receipt of the car and parts?

i gotta say that while im Very happy it worked out for the buyer/j dart.
i Still think the gtx guy is one of the biggest crooks online and should be booted from this forum as soon as this situation is over.
his past behaviors and actions show a clear pattern and we all know people dont change their ways, esp when they didnt even get a slap on the hand for selling a fraudulent vehicle.

He was just trying to keep from going to jail. It is not that he has changed, he has just escaped the law...again.
I am happy that you are getting your money refunded !

to the OP,
what do you thinks gonna happen as soon as he gets that car back?
use your head, hes gonna rip off some other poor sucker,
but next time he will make sure to cover his tracks better.
jail is Exactly where he should be.

sorry Sky,i should have wrote that differently i meant it for the OP/buyer my apologies to you.

Did you get compensated for the shipping as well? Paypal is usually pretty good when it comes to bad dishonest sellers , they do side with buyers . I do think in this case. All paper work should be photocopied , photographs taken of all numbers and so on. And still sent registered to the authorities. Or go in person and explain this ordeal . Just a thought

Now that things are looking good.....will everyone here get a 'gift' for the help!? :D :D

If the complete vehicle VIN is printed somewhere in this thread, at least this whole discussion will pop up if someone searches the number later...

Bottom line is that you just don't buy a car sight unseen. You just never know who you are dealing with. If you don't want or can't go see it in person, find someone who knows what they are looking at who can be your eyes in your absence.

I've looked at local cars for others & I've had people in other states look at a couple cars for me. I bought two cars that were advertised here (FL & MN) & they were what they were advertised to be, but I still needed to see them in person before I spend that kind of cash.

I had a friend that bought and sold car constantly that lived up north. I was his go to guy in the midwest. He did the same for me up north. NEVER buy a car without a good walk around. What one person may think is exceptable, another may think is junk.

Been there, done that, twice on this forum and was sorry both times. Shame on me the second time.

so meanwhile the seller is still a member of this site??
really?
do we need to wait till he rips off another member?

and hey..that cars probably getting resold any day...to another victim.
i find this entire episode to be unreal and shows why we have such a prevailing problem if nothing is done to these Thieves.
