First big snow in a long time here supposed to hit tonight, well its already started and 2 inches in 1.5 hours, but by tomorrow morning we could have 18 to 24 inches of snow on the ground in the urban areas here in Colorado!!! So, everything is closing down and expected not to be open tomorrow, so its gonna be a snow day!!!

Put the studded snows on the Plymouth! lol...

Actually back in the 80's when it was my primary car, I did have a set of studded snows, they were 70 series skinny ones, but they worked pretty good!

Me as well - drove my '70 Cuda and '73 Challenger during winters, makes me cringe today thinking of running those cars during all the winter slush and salt today. Despite under coating, those bodies didn't do well. But muscle cars were daily drivers. My dad and I restored one that was severely rusted. By the time we got done the car had south western fenders, doors, new quarters, new rear clip fabricated, floor and trunk pans, cowling cut out and inserted with a rust-free one, endless hours sandblasting the frame, ahhh...nice as it turned out I said I'd never do a car that far gone again. Later I latched onto a CA car and of course, what a difference when restoing that.

We just got a couple inches over here in the valley so off to work I go.
I see that I-70 is closed from Denver to Kansas.
Trucker killed On I-70 by Vail. I-70 closed there too.
2 more storms still coming.

That and eggs! Why is it that every time a storm come around, everybody has a hankering for French Toast? What's up with that?

up to 15 inches of snow this morning, its starting to get lighter, so don't think we will make it to 18, but pretty close! Everything is closed today!

Been a long time since I've been in snow like that and glad of it lol.

A few years ago I bought a new pair of studded all weather tires from Discount Tire on Ebay. They were around 23" tall and were cheap enough to see how my Dakota would react to the 'gear' change. It loved it but man, they attracted some attention with the noise they made on the road. A buddy asked me what was wrong with the truck lol. Had one cop look at me like he was thinking WTH. Maybe he knew that sound but after that, I pulled them all out. They sure left strange looking marks after a burn out too! :D

This was my silverado work truck a couple years ago here in Georgia.. this was gone 2 days later.
