Hey guys, I recently added the three under dash gauges. Voltmeter - no problem. Temp gauge - no problem. Oil pressure, now I got a problem.

How do you hook up additional under dash gauges and still have the dash oil gauge work? I currently have an electrical sending unit and gauge in a 69 charger. If I join them together, the aftermarket one bounces all over the place. Is there any way to have them both working? BTW I'm running the Equus three gauge setup.

Thanks

What engine?

You need to have both senders installed. Either find another port or go to the hardware store and rig up a T setup.

There Are two ports on the back side of the engine, opposite where your idiot light switch is, pull the plug and add your line there …

I have the same gauge as you and just used a T in the same port as the original sender. Works great. Wonder if something isn't wrong with your new gauge?

Here is a note for future reference,, DO NOT INSTALL THE PLASTIC OIL SENDER TUBING. BUY THE COPPER. You will regret the plastic stuff as soon as your carpet and floorboards are soaked in oil.

Going to have to check if there are two ports available?? If not will need to rig up a tee.
If I use the old sender, new gauge reads 100... If I use the new sender, old gauge doesn't read. Will need to have both going separately.

Thanks for your input!

Big block?
Should be 2 ports on the top, back of the block. Here is my setup. Stock sender and aftermarket sender.

I installed a T to connect a mechanical oil pressure gauge and the factory electronic dash oil pressure gauge on the 421 PONTIAC engine in the GTO...
I didn't realize there were 2 oil pressure tap locations on the big block Wedge!
THANKS!
