Looking at a 66 440 used to be a 6cyl, looks professionally converted to a Hemi. How to tell if the proper Hemi type K frame has been installed? Can it be known by a picture if it has a skid plate?

Mounts are much different than for a b-engine. When I get back from vacation I’ll post a pic of mine

This is a picture of left mount for a 66. Bolt in front through to back and one on top. Skid can be bought, they're repo'd.

I got the previous owner to get me some pics. Motor mount is correct, but skid plate is smaller than this pic. I got a local Mopar expert here in Minnesota at Sharadon Motors to verify it's good. Car is not original Hemi anyway, but at least wanted it to be converted correctly.

If you have the smaller skid plate, you might have a later K in it.

You got me wondering now of what mine looks like, it’s definitely original. Can’t wait to get back home to check lol
Got home and looked, the wide one of the two

There’s more differences with the installation of Hemi engine if you want to know

4 speed or auto? They have two different backup light wiring, stick is the 3 wire connector in second pic (also has the oil sending wire) The plate is for the 4 speed only (relays) The 4 way connector is the alt-coil-temp wire (only on the hemi. If just sticking a Hemi in the car use the 68-70 wire harness, no special hookup needed
