As long as the consumers are buying , spending money at a record pace , racking up debt

And the market keeps inching upward

The Gateway pundit is a far right wing biased news outlet, in other words fake news. If they reported the sky was blue, id still look out the window to see for myself. As far as I can tell, internet sales were good, which does little to help stores who employ Americans and often hire additional help this time of year.
Myself I never go to any stores on Black Friday with the exception of a supermarket to buy groceries for mom, which by the way had little shoppers the day after Thanksgiving.
I also know from reading that big sales records on Black Friday can be a indication of people with less income to spend are simply looking for better prices
I do sincerely hope retailers do well this season but I would also hope folks dont overspend and build up credit card debt.
 
I bought a top end kit for my opel. A pair of big port big-block heads, single plane intake, valve covers, roller rockers and gaskets. Under a grand.
My Christmas present to me.
 
Bought a doughnut and a mocha for my wife who’s in rehab from an above the knee amputation caused by periferal artery disease. Going home Wed. Went home worked on installing my new door panels from Legendary. Working on the car keeps me sane through this.
 
I usually hit the home improvement stores late once the crowds have thinned, good time to stock up on air hoses, screwdrivers, driver bits, power tools etc.
 
We are going to head into the city this afternoon. Do our part to keep the economy rolling . LOL
It is getting better as the years go by as far as shopping. I am about 95% gift cards at this point as the grandkids get older.

Buy a few gift cards , pay for dinner, done.
 
I spent my BF money last Saturday, it was delivered yesterday! I wonder how many guns were sold and went through DROS yesterday?
