If you saw this one in person, you would be shocked. Looks like a 1 or 2. It’s a 4 or 5 in person.

I have seen it. It isn't perfect but it is a great car.
A #5 is technically a parts car. The Coronet is like a good woman that is pretty but also quite capable. Not so pretty that you're afraid to bring it out in public but just pretty enough to make you happy.

After looking at post 10, my car is great.....Never knew or remembered they looked like that when new.

A buddy of mine who owns a restoration shop came by to pick up a parts car and was in awe over the gaps on this car. He was very dismayed that he has been spending so much time getting every gap perfect on the cars he does, but customers unknowingly demand perfection where there was none in the first place. He took dozens of pics of this car, I hope he’s still following his customers wishes. I think tho, that he might rethink it on his own car.

In the years when it was illegal to put a for sale sign on your car, people would put in a For Sail sign.
What? Is this a "Canadian" thing? I have never heard of this.
We often have empty lots where people park their cars to sell but the offense that they commit refers to parking the car on private property, not the act of advertising it.

There was a sailboat on a trailer near here, with a 'For Sail' sign on it....the kids cracked up every time we passed it. Wish I had a picture.

There was also a truck next to a shop with a sign that read 'For Sales'...ha that was my favorite!

Yeah the gaps and also use of fillers in cars from the factory were more common than some recognized. And some cars had a pattern of ill-fits, ask me how I came to find out. A body shop owner that did my '63 Plymouth paint I've become friends with (great guy that'll talk your ears off - wonder how he gets stuff done; but he does) described a real nit-picky owner of a '68 Charger who wanted perfecto gaps. He spent a hell of a lot of time doing this involving tricky body work; but money was no object to the owner. All black and beautiful; but I likely would have been as impressed either way as I'm partially gap-blind I suppose.

The For Sale sign was not allowed in a vehicle that was driven on the street in Saskatchewan up until at least 1990 If I remember correctly.
I was told that it infringed on Licensed Dealers. You could have a For Sale Sign if on private property.

When I bought a ‘71 Bee in ‘76 we took the seats out to recover them. The carpet was absolutely covered in weed seeds. That was back in the days of cheap Mexican or Colombian being mostly seeds.

....and 40 years later, it’s still one heck of a hothouse!

Bought a 70 Duster parts car to refurb my 67 Dart. Pulled the seats from the Duster and stuck them in the Dart and many years later, I parted out the Dart. Had the still good seats sitting against the fence by my driveway and one fell over exposing something that reflected the sun light. It was a baggie of very brown pot! Man, the way I drove that Dart could have put me in jail let alone having an old pot bag in the dang thing!
