I am restoring a 66 Coronet Conv, it had what I thought were rubber grommets in the square holes that the door hinge bolts go thru. The ones that were still there were in bad shape, so I tossed them all. Haven't been able to locate new ones, and someone told me they were just sprayed in foam around the bolts after installation. Anybody know this for sure ?

It was some sort of sealer. I don’t think they were preformed gaskets. If you’re concerned about water coming in I would use some butyl tape behind the bolt washer.

it was a foam type sealer thats no longer available......

The post above gave a good alternative...
