Since you have a new one to compare with, is the red painted part a darker red than the original? Do you have a closer up picture of the mounting studs? Thanks.................MO

Just an observation. This must be a later 68 finish panel? IIRC my new 68 roadrunner , the bird was black and white and it was standing upright. It was the same way on the door..................MO

Mo, The rear finish panel on a 68 is part of the decor package and was only available late in the model year. Without the finish panel, you are correct about the bird being b&w and standing. But with the panel it was the 5 color running bird.

Hmmmm that' s interesting My new 68 did have the finish panel, and it had the black and white bird on it , just like the one you have pictured. That decal was also on the door. I know, because I thought they were corny , so I removed mine. Scratched the finish panel a little when I did that. With Ma Mopar--who knows?? Might have been someone new on the assembly line..... Thanks....................MO

It’s pretty close. In the first pic is the finished panel and on the right is the original tail light trim. More pic of the studs one is broken off.
