Wow, that's sad. I thought that he was great when he played detective Joe Fontana on Law & Order. I think he was only on Law & Order for three years. Played great characters well. RIP Mr. Farina.
 
Great actor and a helluva guy--Chicago Guy all around-he was a Chicago Cop for 18 years before acting). Met him once in Chicago when he was shooting a movie, and he was talking to all the guys who were hangin' around watching them shoot instead of the weirdo hollywood types doing the shooting.

Sad. Great actor and stand up Chi-town PD Detective. The car he drove in Crime Story was actually...are you ready for it????...a 1958 Chrysler 300 Convertible Black exterior/Red Interior with White Top. Man that car always looked awesome in the scenes shot out in Las Vegas and the Desert. One of my favorites...
 
He was a Smoker and a Heavy one. Blood Clots can start say in the Legs and work their way up to the Lungs or the Heart. If not gotten to quickly, they are fatal. Not privy to nor am I a Doctor but I have heard of this occurring. Get Shorty was some of his best work...IMHO. Did he not get an Academy nomination for that role????
 
He won some American Comedy award for Get Shorty, don't know about any "big prize" nominations. I know he was great in Midnight Run and Snatch (playing pretty much the same guy in all three. Whatever, stick w what ya know), and delivered one of my favorite movie lines...GO AND GET YER F**KIN' SHINE BOX, TOMMY!

Actually, the shine box line from Goodfellas was delivered by the character Billy Batts portrayed by the actor Frank Vincent

You are correct sir. I don't know how I got that wrong, even when I picture it in my mind I can tell its not DF. Frank Vincent played Nicky Spolotro's right hand man (and eventual executioner) in Casino, too.

This thread has made me see, hemi rebel and satman72 are gone. Have they suffered the same fate?
 
Generalissimo Francisco Franco is critically dead. It is not known how long he will remain in this condition.
