My wife wants to buy a Rev-N-Nator for me for my birthday or Christmas and the site says none are presently available. Is there a challenge with them or demand exceeded supply? I gave her an option of 4 seconds flat, but she would need to call him since I already have many of the electrical components. What’s going on with Rev???

Thanks!!!

Yea I have one and like it but I also see they have been outta stock for some time......anyone know what they have going on?

Have you tried Mancini? They show the I C U and matched coil.

Email troy and laura from the R/T garage, to know whats happening and if they are out of stock and some shop still have stock, maybe they will know.

Talked to Troy a couple of months ago and he said they had an updated and improved version coming out. I would call him and find out what's up.

Agree!
Don is great for tech support and his products work!

Yeah, talked to him yesterday and he suggested I send him pictures of my distributor. In our conversation he thinks I don’t need an ignition setup. Awaiting his reply. The world needs more like him!

Don is adamant about his opinions, but very knowledgeable. I'm running one of his distributor and ignition boxes w/Flamethrower coil.

Just be forewarned that Don is VERY opinionated and he will tell you how it is. Everything he sells is gold and everything else is overseas junk, even though some of his stuff is not made here. I do like his ignition boxes with the rev limiter. The diode that comes with each one now was because I finally convinced him that his box didnt always work with factory tachs. Shannon at Redline says they are much better, but they still have issues with calibrating tachs with some of Don's boxes.
He talked me into a distributor, ignition, and carb for one of my cars years ago. It worked great. The next project I kind of wanted to try a Fitecore dist with his box. Of course he said they were total crap. Ended up with another of his distributors. That one was sent back to him 4 times because I couldn't get it to run. He finally popped a nut and gave me my money back. He was irate. I put a Firecore on the car and it solved all the problems. Now I see he is selling Firecores...........

Yes he is. I know a few people like that, and some are in the car hobby too. They are usually a good source for parts and information, but they too can make mistakes. I'm satisfied, for now, with my FBO ignition system, but that doesn't mean that I always will be, and I am exploring options, that if I were to discuss with Don at FBO, I'm pretty sure he would phoo-phoo, just because it's not "how he thinks" or "something he sells"...
This thread has some enticing options, especially the junkyard parts available Ford setup:

Looking at my pictures, do you guys think I still need an ignition box from anywhere?
I know this is not a WTB thread...but I have a spare Rev-N-Nator (new in box) in Black if you're interested.
Let me know. :) Since my A100 runs a Brand X dizzy with coil pack inside, I have no need for this unit now.

juts feed with 12 volts the red wire, while black to - lead of coil. Need to Jump out or bypass ( or modify ) the resistor thought.

whats the tanish plastic box attached ?

DUDE!! You have an :lowdown:Ignitor III module in that distributor! :bananadance::thumbsup:
Those are AWESOME!
When I had the 421 Tripower rebuilt for our 65 GTO, I chose the Pertronix billet aluminum distributor with the Ignitor III built in!
I've considered doing that for my 440 in the future!
Maybe I missed the intent of your posts?

I'm learning as I move along, and in this case, I have an awesome wife who wanted to get me an awesome Christmas gift. I had my distributor rebuilt a while ago with Ignition Engineering in Anaheim, CA. I got it back and it went into it's project build box. Stupid me never looked under the cap.... well, now I get some needed brake conversion parts!!! Merry Christmas! My upcoming birthday coming is also going to be Mopar parts, WW2 planes and cars!
Thanks for all the help! Now, if i could just beam all to my house that are willing to work on the Charger!

Having a 71 which didn't get ECU box, the ignitor III module into the dist could be the best hidden upgrade. No need for extra wiring harness unless was already made/added in the past for some ECU upgrade. You can hook up the red wire from + lead of coil once ballast is worked ( eliminated, bypassed/jumped or modified ), and black to - lead of coil.

My vote is for a modified Ballast on back and keep the ceramic piece on firewall still hooked up to keep the stock look.
