Hey guys. I know this is like asking for Santa Claus to be delivered to me, or asking for the keys to a barn find Daytona, but I’ve struck out everywhere else and was told to ask here.

My dad has been a diehard Mopar guy in our community for years, and has made it in Hot Rod and other magazines with multiple Chrysler builds over the years. He’s currently building a tube chassis Charger, and has gone on and on about how excited he is to finally have a use for a tag that he came in to possession of years ago (likely before I was even born). It was a secondary fender tag that he says had “Special Tires” stamped on it. I’ve seen several of these tags that say “Body In White” or “Special Handling Car” or “Special Paint”, but I’ve never seen one with a tire reference. Long story short, that tag sat out on a chassis table as he was building the tube chassis for this car, and the tag went missing. No one knows if it was stolen, or accidentally trashed, or what, but it’s gone. I would love to get another one of these secondary tags as a Christmas gift for him, but I’ve called upwards of 30 salvage yards and Mopar parts houses and everyone tells me either “no clue what you’re talking about” or “you’d have to show me a broadcast sheet for me to sell you one”.

I couldn’t tell you what car it came off of, and I’m not even looking for another Special Tire tag specifically. This isn’t to boost value since this car is not in any way original (but I’m sure everyone says that) and I don’t want the option code tag, it was just very special and unique to him to have had a seemingly rare extra fender tag, and I’d love to be able to have him unwrap that as a gift if someone happens to know where I could find one. Not really looking to have a reproduction stamped. I know I could, but I’m really just looking for a ratty, rusty even, painted secondary tag that someone would be willing to let go of for a price. Or if anyone could direct me to a junkyard or phone number that I could call or visit (especially in the Midwest), it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!
