I tried posting pictures on another topic awhile ago. didn’t work. My fault. That is why I posted the part number .
I understand that DMT is trying to get set up to supply better ones.

According to Richard aka 69bfan, DMT has given up trying to get them reproduced. So for now we are stuck with the poorly made ones unless you get lucky and find some NOS pieces.

I tried getting an old engineering buddy of mine, that works in a similar industry to the mylar/felt coating gig, to consider making them and he wouldn't touch it. And to think someone could make these correct 50+ years ago and durable enough to last just as long.

The reality of this is there is no profit to be made......or would take many years post production to start turning a profit...

Also, thanks to the people that had the tooling to either pitch it or ask way too much for that to get them reproduced....

Just factor in the sets you bought and installed.....will you be alive when they have to get replaced?

Law of numbers always applies unfortunately....

FYI -
I emailed Tony's Parts back on the first of November to see if he had any of the OE sets available. Said no he only had the repros but he also said that he was working on an accurate reproduction. He indicated it would be a few months before they went to market.
