Is there such things as good Indian food and Indian music?

That chicken looks amazing!

And did'nt these people teach George Harrison how to play the Sitar? :poke:

Curry
I've been on streets in Irvington where it was so strong
you can almost ride home on that smell!
it would make you swear it off for life!
it scarred me! no thanks

Hes not out babbling all night. The music is fine. :D
Well, I'm thinking blasting is something that's loud. Maybe I go to bed too early these days lol. I do have a neighbor 2 houses down that likes to turn up his sub woofer system and makes everything rattle in the shop and house. That crap don't fly around here.

the twangy sitar music, not good, in my opinion

some of the food is OK, when done properly

but;
I'd rather have a good Chinese/spicy Mandarin, Mexican or Italian dish

no goat or very little taste for lamb, for me

Still like the southern home cooking....and there's nutin like good old 'southern' style tater salad and grilled chicken! :D

"good food" and "buffet" should never be used in the same sentence !!

If you ever make it out west, you need to check out the Tandoori Flame. Its a buffet that kicks serious a$$.

I like Indian food but it doesn't like me. I always get Hormonal-poo-poo-poolitus after eating that stuff....:(

Usually but not always true. In my reference the buffet food is first class. I never eat at a buffet generally. But this Indian place in Laguna Hills is different - I swear
Natraj Cuisine of India - wonderful buffet.

Awesome food, but it has to come from a good restaurant. Much like it’s hard to find good Mexican food in America or Canada, it’s hard but not impossible to find good Indian food. Their flatbreads, either nan bread or papadums are terrific.
Wife and I cook it all the time, it’s great.
Now that you are here please have some good old fashion tacos on any street, all of them good:thumbsup: with a nice hot salsa, little onions, avocado sauce, or my favorite tacos de cabeza and a nice beer preferably a pacifico:drinks:.

I wouldn't class Indian food as Hadji

Hadji:

Hey my friend I eat nothing but local food here; none of that tourist stuff for us! I’m drinking a Pacifico as I write this. I like Modelo also, but not Tecata.
BTW, I actually rescued a cat. Booked space for it today on the plane, the vet checks it out this week. Call it Chika. It was living in the roof of our bodega.
There’s a million strays here, and I see them in my travels all over the world. But this one bonded with me. So it’s gonna cost me a fortune, but I can afford it, and it’s gonna be in for a surprise moving to arctic Canada, but hey, I saved one.
Also stopped by the Mazatlan humane society today to seek their advice. Amazing place, amazing people running it. The animals are fantastic. It breaks my heart. I left enough of a donation to keep them in food for a while.

Tandoori Chicken CHICKEN MARINATED IN COCONUT MILK AND SPICES AND BAKED IN TANDOORI CLAY OVEN

It's the red looking baked chicken. I love that stuff and the bread.

We have Himalayas Indian buffet in Moore. Owned and operated by Indians.

There's an Indian restaurant in Edmond that's pretty good. They play those annoying Bollywood videos non stop while you eat.

Most of their music is extremely annoying to me.

My wife is from Thailand, that particular recipe has been a SIAM/Thai recipe for hundreds of years....

Thank you for adopt the cat, he's blessed with a new and better life, tacos de asada is a must in Sinaloa, be careful although, enjoy your stay , also at night look for enchiladas, pozole, gorditas, sopes de asada, look for a good old "cenaduria" ask your local taxi driver, the one you trust, should visit the restaurants down town and have a hearty dinner, Pacifico is the best beer here I only drink this brand of beer.

I bought a six pack of Carto Blanco. It is pretty good; mild tasting but small bottles...
Pacifico is my favourite, though.
We stay away from the golden zone, it is too busy for us. Out here at Punta Cerritos it’s pretty good. My wife and I are as far from resort tourists as you can find.
We are careful, but not paranoid. I watch carefully what goes on around me, I am respectful to everyone, and once it is dark we are very vigilant.
Mazatlan is changing so fast. In the four years I’ve been coming it changes so fast. I understand why some nacionales resent foreigners, that’s why I am respectful. It is your country and I am a grateful guest.
