I have posted before about my husband passing away f.ron brain cancer before he could get his car finished. Well it's finished now and it's a beauty. We also made an incredible showroom out of our third garage stall. Numbers matching 440 69 charger RT. Can't wait to take it out in the spring to see how fast she'll go. Thank you to everyone on this forum for answering lots of questions about my project. Restoration by Hite Auto Body in Elk River, MN. The AC discharge assembly is a modified 68 part...but I did finally find an original one from a big block 69 rt ....it is getting spruced up and will go on the car in the spring. It only had one owner before us, I have the original invoice for the car with all the options, fender tag and Bill of sale. Just not the broadcast sheet, a bummer right. For a while there I thought it was becoming a massive money pit. But now that it's done is so exciting to have such a wonderful tribute to him. My husband would probably be sleeping in the garage every night to keep the car company. I sure wish he was here to do that!

That is one nice Charger RT! I'm sure you're late husband is looking upon you with a huge smile on his face. Do him and his Charger some justice and drive that baby! As you know, after a project like that is completed, it should also be enjoyed. Wonderful job guy's, he would be so proud! God bless, 440'

I'm so happy for all of you. He would be too. Yes enjoy his car! He'll be there with you.

After my Brother passed I got his car. I carry his hat in the car on the passenger seat. I often look over and feel he is there with me.

Very cool story. Sorry for your loss. Glad to see you and the Family pushed along to get it completed in his memory. The heavenly showroom to protect it is awesome. As mentioned take it out to enjoy it. This would be what he wanted. That is what these old classics are for. Cruising in style....

That is not just a tribute to your departed husband. But an even bigger tribute to his loving wife and family for continuing in his absence to honor him. In doing so it honors you as well. Very nicely done and may God bless you and yours.
