What an F'ed up story. Car was $44 million with the gearbox, $37 million without. I could get it for you for $25,000, but it will cost you $500,000. Oh, and by the way, I dont owe you anything, nor do I own a stupid gearbox for this car, as you know. This sounds like one of those "test cases" lawyers intentionally get themselves into.

Poor baby......and a dumb ***!. Should have had a reputable mechanic check the car out before purchase...... Still a dumb ***!
 
if that person can afford to spend that type of cash on a car. He can spend another million on a gearbox.
 
How bizarre that the buyer would expect the car to come fully equipped for that paltry sum.

If I wanted to pay extra for a transmission , I'd buy a SS 396 package.

Looks like $25k would have got the gearbox delivered.
Life's too short. He should have ponied up the money, told the world the story about how the seller fked him over, and been done.
Now he's got a Ferrari 250 GTO w/out the correct gearbox, and all of this bull to go through, and I'm sure the legal costs are way more than $25k

It was known that the original transmission is not in the car.

Anyone being able to spent that kind of money is usually not dumb.
