1971 Charger Super Bee, my first B-Body

"@RJS Mine are 14x6 (I believe vintage, not repro, but not original to the car) with 245/60/14 tires. Tires are OLD and need to be replaced. I'm thinking of possibly getting a set of repro 15x7 Rallye wheels. I had 15x7 steel wheels, dog dish caps and 245/60/15 Goodyear Eagle ST tires on my 71 Challenger. Back then there was a much larger selection of 14/15 inch tires to choose from."

My rallyes are factory wheels 15x7 but my car I was told by PO came with 14x6 rallyes best he could tell (no broadcast sheet from LA plant) I have G 60-15 Goodyears front and L 60-15 Goodyears rear. Hope this helps.

Who is PO?

After examining the 1971 Coronet/Charger Operator's Manual that came with my car, it sure looks like Super Bee and R/T models came standard with 14x6 wheels, with 15x7 being optional. The only reason I thought the wheels on my car were not its original wheels were that they are 6" wide.

I read a post on one of the forums, don't remember which one, that claimed 14x5.5 was the ONLY 14" Rallye wheel size made by Chrysler until 1973. That statement seems incorrect with my manual contradicting it. The manual also states that if 6" and 7" wide wheels came on a car from the factory it would also have 11" disc and/or drum brakes. So I think my wheels probably are the car's original wheels.

PO = Previous owner

Also check the date codes and P/N's (part #'s) on your wheels to see if it fits in the timeline for your build.
