My wife was on the 610 loop in Houston today when traffic came to a stop (surprise) when this Ahole rolled backwards 10 ft into her.

She couldn't catch him or get the name on the side of the truck. She called the Highway patrol and they told her nothing could be done since he didn't stop. Complete grill,headlights, mounts and radiator trashed.

Wow that really sucks big time. Not much you can do. I see you can barely see the license plate
 
Sad thing is the guy knew he did it and kept on going. Sorry,glad your wife is ok.
 
She wasn't able to get the tag number?? Had some moron roll back on me one time in a drive thru....under power and I was back away from this moron at least 25 feet! Damage was light but still. I got the tag number but it didn't do much good since we were on 'private' property. Btw, I live in Pasadena which is ESE of Houston and try my best to stay off of Houston's freeways!

Nope I'm sure they plenty other BS to deal with.
 
She was hindered a bit, she was hauling an oversized boat on a permitted route. She probably would have got a ticket if she would have gone off route.
 
Even if they find the asshole he will say he doesnt know anything and will deny and lie through his teeth. If you dont have witness's good luck.
One reason why I won't have a car on the road without collision coverage. Really sucks and im sorry about it

Over 10years ago I put a dash cam front and rear because of stories like this.....

I know its frustrating as hell when this happens. Years back when my kid was in college and working he had a Bronco I rebuilt painted the whole car. He calls me up at work and tells me he comes out to the car, the door and jamb part of the quarter is caved in, windows busted. A truck had to back into it. No note no nothing. I had no collision on it and had to eat it to get it fixed. People suck but what goes around comes around.
Thanks for asking Roger im ok. 2019 wasn't the best for us but we hope next year is better. We count our blessings and enjoy the grandkids.

Hell yeah love them grandkids, I got another one coming in April
 
This was done to my moms daily driver, by a hit and run driver, but we got screwed just as bad by farmers insurance.
