Top countries to retire in...

I agree. U.S.A. I paid these bastards 30% of my pay for 35 years already. Still 14 years to go. They are paying me back a small portion of my continuations all these years when I retire. Such a legalized crime....

I like Mexico. Canada is awesome. But looking at that list there’s no freakin’ way I’m switching from one cold climate to another. New Zealand is beautiful but it takes your life savings just to fly therefrom here. Same with Australia, and it has the added bonus of everything that swims, crawls, and slithers will kill you. Luxembourg? I paid cash money for more land in Canada then the entire country of Luxembourg.

There's a reason folks from all over the planet migrate here and not so much the other way around...
I'm all right where we're at right now for retirement (God willing I see that day).
Second place would probably be Texas or desert SW...

Politics aside, I have AAA, Paramedics at my door in 3-7 minutes, year round classic car driving.
Paved roads, airport under 10 minutes away. No Commie or Socialist Countries for retirement or vacation.

Fellas, FELLAS......it's not MY list. It's just a list I found. I intend to remain in the USA as well. IF I did go elsewhere it would be extreme Northern Italy. In the mountains near the Border. Superb place to live.

it really depends on what you want for retired life.

Like I said before someone got their panties in a bunch. Im happy were I live NOW..... I have social security and a UNION pension.
Everything is at my fingertips and I will keep my money in this country. Were their is no better place to live, work or retire
End of F-ing story

The metrics used in the survey are not necessarily the ones I would use either.

Texas is to hot and humid, although the people are mostly nice. SW is probably the best as its dry and hot. Plus the old cars are nicer and I can buy any firearm without having to go through a act of congress.
Florida would be a option in the winter but otherwise I'll take NYC were you can express yourself freely and nobody really gives two shits

Only the parts of Texas that are on the coast is humid. Today is 48% with temps in the low 70's which isn't bad for having a southerly breeze. I'm only 9 miles from Galveston Bay but yeah, it can get pretty humid especially when the sun goes down and the late evening temps are still around 80%. Texas is a huge state where the northern end can have ice and snow and the southern end you can be sweating your *** off. Today is really nice. Whatever kind of weather you want is somewhere in the state!

If Texas had a rainforest it would have everything or have I just missed it.

Retiring in 9 months. Staying here. Have a house in Jacksonville, FL. So we can have it both ways weather wise...:)

West part of Texas is desert too, correct?
No thanks on Yankee land; I've had enough of winters, thanks. Like forever...
Buy any firearm freely, you say? Welcome to Tennessee! :)
