Anyone here under 40?

We are fortunate. Both sons like cars, have 67 Chargers that could make long drives if gearing was changed. Both have done the quarter mile competition. Our track was a NHRA track for over 50 years. Last two we have been IHRA.
One Granddaughter won Junior Street Legal in a 1974 Challenger. Was third in Sportsman her first year in a 1964 Polara.
Our Grandson won Junior Street in the 1974 Challenger this year.
The other Grandkids aren’t really interested. There you have a 15 and 17 year old interested in cars older than their parents.

Who here still has a brass feeler guage for gapping points, in their tool box ? Ha ha ha

This is about 40 years old and in my box :)

I got scars older that 40, hopefully they'll get much older.

To be forty again would be nice. But for all of you that are there thank you for keeping the hobby going. I have a four year old granddaughter that's waiting to go for a ride in her Papa's hot rod. She tells her mom that papa is making that car for her to drive I love that kid.

My youngest brother turned 40 this year:bday:...so I guess I don't make the cut...but I believe some older brother influence helped fill his stable of mopars:steering:
Including a 68 coronet.

I wish I were 40 again but have to add another 25 to it for me. Time seems to speed way up as you get older and now the years seem to be flying by at this point. Oh, enjoy being 40.

George Burns song "I wish I was 18 again" Who here remembers that one !

i am glad some young guys and gals are interested in these cars on this web site .
i just want to finish this one and last car before i die . never thought i would live this long and to see all the things that are going on today . in my day the things that where right are now wrong ( like i cant say to a woman that she looks good ) i was brought up to compliment a woman but now it could be sexual harassment. i just dont get it

no i don,t but i do have that camera and life was so simple then

Jack Benny when asked about his age always said he was 39...for the younger folks who may not know...Jack was a comedian and had his own TV show in the 50's with his co-star "Rochester". I'm near to retiring as many I used to work with are retired replaced by people my kid's age or younger. Used to be in any given setting, such as in a meeting, I'd be among the younger people and today that's rare as I'm usually the oldest by a good margin. Some appreciate the insight from decades of experience while others are new school discounting this as outdated info. And more old buddies who are retired and enjoying it are asking when I'm gonna hang it up. I've been envying them with all the home and car projects they've got done that I hope to do. I got a start on the retired routine though - every Saturday morning I meet with them for coffee to shoot da breeze!

Yeah, I wonder who is the oldest member. ^ 73 ^ above, so it's not me. :) .. I hope there are more 40 and under than us old graybeards.
