SRT8 Roadrunner conversion, NOT a body over!!

Got the wiper transmission and motor in. This turned out to be very difficult. I used the RR pivots mated to the LX cars linkage brackets. Getting the shape and length of the transmission brackets and arms to clear everything, as well as the travel length, took some doing. Mounting the motor was a challenge! It's really nice having the crazy adjustable intermittent functions of the new car.

That's pretty much it for me until it gets back from upholstery. At that time, we will install the front and rear glass and trim, buff the car and install the body emblems. I did install the grille emblem in place of the Plymouth script.

Here is the trunk and door lock cylinders changed to the late model LX's. Key now opens both manually or remotely.

What a great job you have done with the car, I just hope that the owner really appreciate all the work and effort you have been through.

The problem that I see with the body over swaps,is that the rocker panels hang below the oldschool body. You solved that issue, but it was a lot of work to achieve the proper look! Awsome job.

Yee Haaaa!!!!! I would give a lot to be able to drive that car just once. I love my swap but yours is completely over the top. You really have achieved the new tech in the old body style while staying as true as possible to BOTH time frames. LOVE THIS BUILD!

Car is at upholstery. Trying to get some current pics, but a few from layouts for the one piece fiberglass headliner and door panels.

Fiberglass headliner and panels....are these something you are creating yourself or an after market purchase?

The upholstery guy is custom making all of this. He will foam and shape out everything. The dash also gets leather covered, so he is changing the shape a little as well. I am pretty anxious to see how this will all come together. The goal is to make the interior look classic/timeless, without looking dated already or in a few years. That's a tall order based on using the LX dash, but that's the plan!

Interior is progressing. Took a little longer to get to it than he had planned, but in full swing now.
