I live west of Atlanta.. Around here I would not bring my car to any of the local Baboons with wrenches.. An off road shop should be able to set up a rear 3rd member for you.

Need one to do a little machine work on Mark Williams caps I had to get , Free housing but no caps . Thanks John

Go to forabodiesonly.com and ask a member named RustyRatRod ...

He's near Atlanta and is a car guy... He should be able to direct you to a good shop...

Maybe he's on here also.... @RustyRatRod

Which way just outside of atlanta? Doraville Driveline did my propshaft. They seem to be one of the names for driveline stuff in the city. As for performance shops? Not many of those left in the atlanta area.

I'm in the west cobb/Marietta area. '71 GTX.

Maybe give Cruisers Specialty auto a call. Talk to Jeff Friedman. They should be able to refer you to someone. (770) 451-9000

Thanks for the info , I have called several shops and have run into a dead end . Talked to one that builds only drive lines and when I told them that the Mark Williams caps will need to be machined they freaked out and gave me the number of several machine shops , when called all of them said they could not do it . WTF ? I want to go to Ohio to see family after the holidays and was thinking that I could pick up the new front fenders from Sled City and have my Hemi 4 speed rebuild while we were in Ohio for the planned 2 weeks , talked to the guy at Brewers trans and was told that they were 3 months behind in trans builds . Willing to travel to find good quality folks to work on my stuff . Thanks John

I live north of Atlanta, in Forsyth county. I know of two places I would take my car to:
  1. Christian Brothers Automotive - These guys have locations all over Atlanta. The Cumming location is their classic car location. They will work on anything you bring them. The last time I went there they were working a full '69 Mustang power train swap and dropping in a LS3 into a F-Body. They were the only shop that had zero issues doing the alignment on my '73 Charger. Everybody else whined about the car not being in their system, or being to hard to work on it.
  2. Total Automotive, Cumming GA - Mopar Mike Smith has ran this shop for 30 years. He knows old schools Mopar. Every time I past hist shop there's 3 or 4 classic Mopars out front.

For engine work I use "Engine systems" in Tucker
They did all the machine work and dyno testing on my 557" and 572 hemis

I'm in the Kennesaw/West Cobb County part of NW Atlanta. Maybe we can have a mini mopar gathering sometime.
