Looking for an idea of how long it should take (shop hours) to replace both full quarters, trunk floor/extensions and Dutchman panel on a 69 Coronet. Just the metal work. I'm trying to get an idea of cost assessment.

There are way too many variables to be able to offer a time/price; inevitably when you cut off the quarters other things will need repair as well which of course takes time. All that said, I suppose there is a ball park; I am sure someone like AMD would know. I've done quarters and trunk floors but could not put a time on it, it took as long as it took to get the result I was after.

75 hours all new metal, 10-15% additional for used metal. This is relative to what is found in the teardown and things not found to include condition of outer wheel houses, inner wheel houses, trunk support, and frame condition. No one can tell you an exact number unless they quote for all unseen circumstances, and you won't like that quote. My advice is to shop buy a shops reputation for price and quality or the same on an individual. Some of your better body people do side work too. Ask around. Is all new metal even available for your car? If so the quality of the replacement parts can add time.

Thanks! I know there are way too many variables, I was just looking for a ball park number, so when I do go to get quotes, I will have a baseline.

I know pictures will not show everything, but they would help in a baseline estimate. Get as many as you can maybe someone can come up with something that would help you.

Tough to give a idea on cost when theres so much more that could be wrong. like how brittle are the joining panels if they are..

Not sure...

Condition of the old metal has a bearing, also I have found there is always more rust problems you do not see, and even AMD panels can be OFF! A god shop will surface rust inside those panels while they re off and all is accessable.
Example, take out the windshield and back glass, and I bet you will find bad metal somewhere most every time.

This is strictly my work. I keep track of the hours I put in on my cars. To remove a quarter panel, I have about 20 hours. That includes rough cut out, them drilling spot welds and cleaning up the edges. To remove a quarter, the C-pillar joint is a lot of work. I'd figure about the same to get new one lined up and installed. Trunk floors and extensions? I am not sure but probably similar at another 20 hours to remove, and an additional 20 to install. There are a lot of spot welds to cut.

I've done at least 10, pretty sure I can do one blindfolded....... outer wheelhouses always need repair, if not replaced....... inner wheelhouses usually need patches where they meet the trunk floor......tail panel removed for access will usually also need some love................. 100 - 150 hours, even working at peak efficiency with solid frame rails .........no way around it, 5-6K cash for quality work is a bargain, 7500 isn't ridiculous........ additional ugliness can easily balloon the hours up to 200
