Good morning I'm looking for some direction on a aftermarket wiring system with new ATC style fuses, for my 64 Plymouth belvedere. The car will/has a FULL MSD ignition and a 1 wire alternator. I would like to convert over to a wiring system for aftermarket components, electric fuel pump, electric fan, 1 wire alternator, aftermarket gauges, line lock...etc. I will be running full street legal headlights and taillights...etc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions and tech input.

Merry Christmas

Kirk

I made my own. Not that tough. And WAY cheaper. A few shots. All forward wiring goes thru he RF frame rail to hide it.

I do my own like dvw. But my stuff is bare bones with 5 to 8 circuits total. There are so many on the market now. It all depends on your budget. They make street harnesses and race. From 8 to 21 circuits. Painless is the most well known. But there are many that are just as good. When I was working we did allot of street cars so the 21 circuits were the most popular. Plenty of extra circuits if you aren't doing A/C, power seats and windows, radios with amps and the like.

Check out Ron Francis. They will also do some upgrades for free when you buy them. I'm going to use the 24/7 unit in my 65. Lots of relays plus spots to hang more. Not in yet, car is on hold till my new garage gets done.

I did the same on my a-body, electric fuel pump, efi, 1 wire alt, etc, used a Painless 7 circuit fusebox and made the rest. Added pos/neg hubs, relays, etc.

Painless is anything but....

American auto wire has good kits.

Making your own works as long as you are comfortable with the process. Plan out and lay out...

Put anything that draws serious amps on relays, headlight, fans, fuel pump, water pump, heater fan, etc.
